Crews face various challenges while keeping watch 24/7: poor visibility, stressful environment, and inadequate situational overview of the vessel surroundings.
Groke Pro is a digital watchkeeper. It reduces crew stress and frees the crew from watchkeeping to spend more time on more critical tasks. The day and night cameras, combined with machine vision technology, oversee vessel surroundings 24/7, even in the most demanding conditions.
Not designed to replace existing systems but to complement them, Groke Pro combines data from all systems and provides a real-time risk analysis supporting the crew’s decision-making. An intuitive User Interface enables more efficient communication among the crew.

Groke Pro Awareness System collects information from multiple sources. The system uses two wide-field-of-view cameras with day and night vision. Objects around the vessel are detected by utilizing Machine Vision technology for the day and thermal camera images. Additional information about the detected objects is received from radar and AIS. GNSS, IMU, and Sea Charts are used to identify your vessel’s position and movements
Groke’s Sensor Fusion technology combines data from all the sensors mentioned above. The information based on the processed data provides the most accurate and reliable understanding of the vessel’s surroundings. All information is clearly presented on an intuitive tablet-based interface.
Sensor Fusion technology, combined with a superb User Experience, reduces navigation stress and offers peace of mind during the operation in all conditions, regardless of vessel type.
Groke Pro installation onboard is straightforward forward, and due to the stand-alone nature of the standard solution, it is ideal as a retrofit to existing vessels and also to new buildings.
The preferred installation location for the sensor unit on tug boats is the mast or the compass deck above the bridge. The central unit shall be installed close to the bridge into an air-conditioned or well-ventilated space.
Preferred installation location for sensor unit on cargo vessels is either mast or on compass deck above bridge. The central unit shall be installed in close vicinity to bridge into an air conditioned or well ventilated space.
Preferred installation location for sensor unit on large and ultra large vessels is either mast or on compass deck above birdge. On larger vessels there is also the possibility of installing the sensor unit to fore mast but this needs to reviewed case by case. The central unit shall be installed in close vicinity to bridge into an air conditioned or well ventilated space.
